One delighted guest summed it up best after an active day kayaking, calling the lobster rolls “incredible,” and the drink selection both impressive and reasonable enough to enjoy three rounds. Came here after kayaking and it’s perfect vibe: lobster rolls are incredible and stuffed shrimp is must have. Drinks are so good and so reasonable prices that I had 3! Andrew is amazing and can’t ask for a better waiter!
Amazing to find really good, fresh fish along with excellent service in middle of CT. Perfect place to enjoy a perfectly fried, Captains platter with scallops, cod, clam bellies, shrimp and calamari with a side salad and fries. Enjoyed meal on outside patio while cool, sun was out. Will return. Waitress was very attentive, checking to make sure we enjoyed meal. We also enjoyed a very creamy and tasty clam chowder and chicken wings.
Went to Canton and Rocky Hill restaurants. Fish stew is one of my favorites. Rocky Hill is hands down the winner. RH has more fish variety in the stew and is much spicier. Had fish combo at RH. Best fish around, I highly recommend. Family style salad with great house dressings. Dinner still comes with an after dinner fruit bowl. Wait staff was very attentive. Definitely my go to fish restaurant.
Excellent little seafood restaurant. Different types of seafood dishes including lobster, escargot, mussels, clams, different types of fish, and more. Great mix of fried, steamed, and prepared dishes. Also a land section for those who don't like or may be allergic to seafood. Decent wine selection, sangria, and mixed drinks.
Really love this place- on outskirts of town but great quality and service. Rustic/fish atmosphere like on a boat and very fast service. Extreme large portion sizes as we started off with garlic shrimp and Cole slaw, a shared salad (huge!!!), bread, and then finally our entrees. I buoyed salmon, seafood soup, and calamari. Really loved all of it as seafood was fresh and good quality. Defs recommend for seafood lovers as good price and really good
Very good quality seafood comfort food dishes for the price given how hard it is to find reasonably priced restaurants in Connecticut. Cozy place with an abundance of buoys and maritime themed paintings and pictures to put you in the mood for cod, clams, shrimp and bouillabaisse… all of which were quite good. Service was friendly but a bit slow on a Saturday at 1:15 PM.
Lane, the server, was exceptional. Very polite and attentive. Creamy garlic dressing was extremely good, especially dipping their sesame sticks into. My wife has the shrimp in lobster sauce (still drooling over the taste) and I had the sword fish steak. That was so tender and flavor was exceptional.
I’ve been going there since the mid 80’s. My favorite is the fish chowder with clear broth. I had scallops and unfortunately they weren’t cleaned properly. They were mostly sandy and after I couldn’t eat the 4th one, I shared some of my wife’s garlic spinach shrimp and pasta plate. The shrimp were a little tough and dried out/ mealy. May have been overcooked or sat too long. I had 2 crab cakes from the starter menu that were fantastic! My wife also had a shrimp cocktail, although it wasn’t very pleasing to the eyes. It was just a plated shrimp on some lettuce and a couple pieces of lemon and the shrimp were fresh and a cocktail sauce that was really good, nice after bite. No ice though to keep it chilled and just kinda thrown on the plate. I was grateful our waitress had the $32 scallop plate comped.
